I have been teaching hand quilting this week.   Joyce wanted to learn because her husband bought her an actual frame!  That’s a first for me.  Look how great those last few stitches look; she’s a natural…and a leftie.  Very fun!

Rhey wanted to learn big stitch.  Here are her first rows.  I knew she was a ringer and sure enough, she pulled this out of her bag…

I found a #12 John James quilting needle and she tried out those big stitch tips.  Traditional hand quilting and big stitch use the same rocking motion technique; we just switched up the thread and needle.  Again, success!  Nice pieced points too.  🙂
